Potential Stake-called Teachers: Utah North Area Online Institute
The Online Institute program of the Church provides a way for Institute and BYU Pathway students from Utah and all over the world to take religion classes that help them learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strive to become better disciples.
Because of the growth of Online Institute, there is a need for volunteers who can teach and facilitate these online religion courses. Facilitating these courses is an amazingly fulfilling experience which includes interacting with students online and gathering virtually with them once a week for 45 minutes.
Individuals who may be interested in teaching Online Institute courses must:
- Have a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ, the restoration of the Gospel, and be comfortable teaching and testifying of its doctrines and principles.
- Be temple worthy.
- Have a computer with video and audio capabilities and have access to high-speed internet.
- Be able to commit 5-8 hours a week to this, including 1 hour each week for the virtual gathering.
- Be approved by their Bishops and Stake Presidents.
All called teachers will be trained prior to teaching and supported by Online Institute Administrators during their teaching assignment.
